APAC Occupational Health Lead

About the role

The APAC Occupational Health Lead will drive occupational health strategy, programs and services for DePuy Synthes across Japan, Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore, ensuring employee health, safety and well‑being in line with global standards and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and implement the APAC occupational health strategy, aligning with global standards and local regulatory requirements.
• Oversee vendor and healthcare provider relationships, ensuring high‑quality, cost‑effective service delivery.
• Provide expertise on occupational health and well‑being programs, policies and practices.
• Partner with EHS, FM, HR and business leaders to assess and mitigate workplace health risks.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health legislation, medical surveillance, psychosocial risk assessments and reporting.
• Support injury and illness management, return‑to‑work and workplace accommodation programs.
• Analyze health data and trends to inform prevention strategies and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to regional and global employee health initiatives and serve on crisis management teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Occupational Health, Public Health or related field (required).
• 6‑8 years of experience in occupational health or employee health roles.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health regulations in Japan and APAC.
• Proven ability to work in a matrixed organization with HR, EHS and business leaders.
• Excellent analytical, risk assessment and communication skills.
• Japanese and English proficiency (required).
• Willingness to travel up to 20% regionally.
