Applied AI Engineer

About the role

Anthropic is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to lead the adoption of its Claude large-language-model platform across enterprise customers in Japan. You will work closely with sales, product and engineering teams to design and deliver custom AI solutions that meet business objectives while upholding the company’s safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical advisor for prospective Japanese customers evaluating Claude, demonstrating its value through system architectures and prompting techniques.
• Collaborate with account executives to capture requirements, configure Claude, and build pilots, prototypes and evaluation suites.
• Guide technical decisions on setup, architecture and integration of Claude into existing customer infrastructure.
• Address technical roadblocks, support onboarding, and act as an ongoing advisor through implementation and post‑go‑live phases.
• Travel to customer sites for workshops, implementation support and relationship building.
• Define and execute a vision for safe, beneficial AI solutions across Japan.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager, Forward‑Deployed Engineer or Platform Engineer.
• Native‑level Japanese fluency and business‑level English.
• Proven track record designing innovative solutions for technical platforms in Japan.
• Strong ability to work with engineers and translate business needs into technical specifications.
