Associate Director, Patient Experience & Strategy

About the role

The Associate Director, Patient Experience will build an industry‑leading capability in patient experience across Japan, working closely with the APAC team. You will leverage technology and deep insights to optimise the patient journey and improve outcomes while ensuring compliance, quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Understand patient journey insights and embed patient voices into decision‑making.
• Partner with business units to co‑create technology‑enabled programs aligned to priorities.
• Shape patient experience technologies in collaboration with APAC and IT.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to deliver compliant, high‑quality projects.
• Introduce external trends and recommend improved engagement models.
• Drive change leadership and inspire adoption of new patient experience approaches.
• Manage and develop a small team, fostering collaboration across functions.

Required profile

• Qualification in medicine, pharmacy, life science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in pharma/healthcare, strategic marketing and cross‑functional leadership.
• Proven ability to lead large‑scale projects and navigate complex, matrix environments.
• Strong knowledge of health policy, regulations and J&J policies.
