Associate Medical Director, Clinical Science Immunology

About the role

The Associate Medical Director (AMD) will act as Japan Study Responsible Physician, overseeing medical decision‑making for global, regional and local immunology studies. The role collaborates closely with the Japan Clinical Lead, Japan Clinical Scientist and cross‑functional study teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide medical support for Japanese participants and regional responsibilities across East Asia/APAC in global studies.
• Develop and execute medical review plans, ensure subject safety, protocol compliance and resolve medical queries.
• Review and sign off study documents, including informed consent forms, protocol deviations and safety reports.
• Contribute medical expertise to study design, database lock, results presentation, CSR preparation and publications.

Required profile

• MD (or equivalent) with at least 5 years of clinical experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical setting.
• Strong scientific and logical thinking, ability to make balanced medical decisions across multiple disease areas.
• Excellent oral and written communication in Japanese and English.
• Proven ability to work in global, multi‑time‑zone study environments.
