CAD Operator

About the role

We are looking for a CAD Operator to join mtc’s Tokyo office, supporting the design and implementation of office technology environments for foreign‑affiliated companies. The role goes beyond creating drawings – you will see your work translated into real spaces and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Create and revise elevation, ceiling, floor and detail drawings, as well as system and AV equipment layout diagrams.
• Translate engineers’ design specifications into construction‑ready drawings and coordinate interfaces with electrical, interior and furniture trades.
• Perform on‑site verification of IT and AV installations, ensuring compliance with design intent.
• Document site progress through construction photos, technical markups on third‑party drawings, and regular coordination meetings with subcontractors.
• Assist in the preparation and management of project documentation and drawing submissions.

Required profile

• Experience in architectural or interior design drafting.
• Interest in expanding into technology‑focused environments such as IT and AV.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively on‑site.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD drawing tools.
