Corporate Engineer / IT Systems Leader

About the role

The AI Robot Association is building its internal IT from the ground up to support AI and robotics research and development. It is hiring a Corporate Engineer to become the core driver of moving from a model based mainly on external technical advisors and temporary staff to an in-house IT framework run by full-time employees. The role is collaborative, sharing responsibility with temporary helpdesk staff, the network team, external vendors and technical advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inquiries, incidents and initial troubleshooting and triage (about 30% of the workload)
• Manage escalations from the helpdesk
• Manage accounts and permissions (e.g. Google Workspace) and administer SaaS apps such as Slack
• Manage endpoints (Windows PCs, Macs, smart devices) and MDM solutions such as Jamf and Intune
• Handle onboarding and offboarding, and oversee IT assets and software licenses
• Liaise with external vendors and internal business units
• Create SOPs and documentation, and continuously improve IT operations and workflows

Required profile

• About 1-3 years of experience in corporate IT, internal systems engineering, IT support or a related role; ownership and independent judgment are valued more than the exact number of years
• Ability to triage user inquiries and escalate unresolved issues to the right specialist or vendor
• Proven ability to handle confidential information and administrative privileges responsibly

Required skills

• Groupware administration such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365
• Endpoint and MDM administration (e.g. Jamf, Intune)
• SaaS application management (e.g. Slack)
• Stakeholder coordination with internal units and external vendors

Preferred: Python, TypeScript, Go or shell scripting for automation; API integration of SaaS platforms; AWS or Google Cloud; end-to-end internal system development; SaaS evaluation and adoption; IT planning and vendor selection.
