Corporate IT Manager (Information Systems Department Head)

About the role

The AI Robot Association is hiring a Corporate IT Manager to build the Information Systems department from the ground up. Currently there are no full-time employees in the department, so day-to-day work is handled by temporary staff and external technical advisors. The manager will define strategy, priorities and budgets, and oversee security and IT governance, while recruiting corporate and network engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate the IT department's overall strategy and policy, and define priorities and operational roadmaps
• Manage and mentor corporate engineers and network engineers
• Oversee temporary staff, contractors and external vendor relationships
• Design and manage the IT budget from scratch, and select and implement SaaS tools and enterprise IT services
• Oversee IT asset tracking and software license compliance
• Plan and execute information security measures and governance frameworks, and handle incident response
• Lead preparation for external audits such as ISMS (ISO 27001) and coordinate with the legal team on IT contracts
• Report to division heads, executive directors and the Board, and collaborate with the R&D department

Required profile

• Experience leading multiple areas of corporate IT, internal systems and IT infrastructure
• Proven experience leading IT projects or engineering teams
• Experience managing vendors, consultants and contractors
• Experience negotiating requirements and priorities with internal stakeholders
• Ability to judge and escalate during outages or security incidents, and strong communication with executives
• Hands-on implementation is not required; the focus is on understanding specialist advice and making risk, cost and priority decisions

Preferred qualifications

• IT Manager or IT department lead experience
• Experience formulating and managing IT budgets
• Auditing experience such as ISMS, SOC 2 or PrivacyMark
• Security risk assessment and vulnerability evaluation experience
