Credit Risk Analyst

About the role

3M is seeking a Credit Risk Analyst to join its global Credit Risk Center of Excellence. In this role you will support credit analysis, risk rating, and portfolio monitoring while collaborating with diverse teams worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the lead manager in credit analysis and risk rating using statistical models and segmentation variables.
• Monitor and proactively manage risk exposures and policy compliance for the credit portfolio.
• Analyze credit data, develop practical portfolio problem‑solving models, and support global reporting.
• Participate in cross‑functional initiatives to improve processes, centralize data, and standardize practices.
• Track AR credit quality, aging, trends, and risk exposure; advise business leaders on corrective actions.
• Prepare management reports for key performance indicators and educate business units on credit risk and payment terms.
• Collaborate with the CIR organization to implement governance frameworks and review credit limit requests.
• Provide financial analysis for DSO initiatives and lead small projects related to working‑capital optimization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or statistics.
• At least two years of experience in data analytics, data management, or related fields.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Effective communication skills to advise and influence business partners.
