Customer Engineer II – ETCH Systems

About the role

As a Customer Engineer II for ETCH systems, you will act as the primary liaison with customers, installing, maintaining, and upgrading advanced semiconductor equipment. You will use digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while working closely with senior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Senior Field Service Engineers to install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment.
• Use digital analytics for troubleshooting and apply basic diagnostic techniques under guidance.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems (training provided).
• Coordinate and communicate directly with customers to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification.
• 1–2 years of experience in customer/field service support or a related technical field.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving basic technical challenges.
• Basic mechanical aptitude with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics.
• Familiarity with hand tools and digital multimeters.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport for travel.
• Ability to meet on‑site safety, environmental, and COVID‑19 requirements.
