Customer Support / Field Service Engineer (JLPT N2 or N3)

About the role

KLA, a global leader in electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, is looking for a Customer Support / Field Service Engineer in Yokohama. The role involves solving onsite customer problems in a cleanroom environment, with travel required (20-50% of the time). Japanese language skills (JLPT N2 or N3) and English are required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's level degree and 0 years of related work experience.
• Technical degree from a university in Japan.
• Previous working experience in Japan is required.
• Ability to read and understand procedures and technical documents in English, and to follow English-language training.

Required skills

• Japanese (JLPT N2 or N3) and English.
• Ability to understand and solve problems in software, electronics, optics, mechanical, electro-mechanical and/or electro-optical systems.
• Strong interpersonal communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Experience with electronic systems in semiconductor, medical devices, defense, aerospace or aviation is a plus.
• Software management skills with a Unix background is a plus.
