About the role
The Data Scientist will lead data science and biostatistics for Real‑World Evidence studies within Medical Affairs, supporting the full evidence generation lifecycle from planning to scientific communication.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the data science and biostatistics lead for assigned Medical Affairs studies, ensuring alignment with therapeutic area strategy and Integrated Evidence Generation Plan.
- Develop and review Statistical Analysis Plans, statistical programming outputs, and high‑quality tables, figures, and listings.
- Collaborate with external service providers and cross‑functional partners to deliver timely, high‑quality analytical work.
- Contribute to manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations, and lead process‑improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in biostatistics, epidemiology, data science or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience leading evidence‑generation studies in pharma, healthcare, academia or CRO environments.
- Strong knowledge of epidemiology, study design, and clinical research principles.
- Business‑level proficiency in Japanese and English.
