Deployment Strategist (Multiple Levels)

About the role

Salesforce is hiring Deployment Strategists in Tokyo, Japan. These customer-facing advisors define AI strategy, shape agentic solutions and drive measurable adoption for enterprise customers. Working with Forward Deployed Engineers, they turn complex business challenges into agentic AI deployments that go live. Engagements are focused and time-bound, typically 12 weeks or less, and may cover a single strategic account or several customers at once.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end customer engagement across the full value lifecycle (identify, commit, deploy, consume).
• Define the customer's agentic AI strategy and roadmap, lead design workshops, agent design sessions and jobs-to-be-done analysis, and architect solutions across Salesforce's agentic AI platform, Data Cloud and enterprise systems with responsible AI governance.
• Manage delivery timelines, stakeholder communication, risk escalation and progress reporting.
• Own adoption, consumption and expansion metrics, identify blockers early and drive value realisation.
• Partner with the Forward Deployed Engineers and use AI tools such as Cursor, Claude and Vibes to build customer solutions.
• Act as the main customer contact, presenting proposals and outcomes in business value terms, and assess customer readiness for AI adoption.
• Turn field insights into product feedback for the Agentic AI platform roadmap.

Required profile

• 4+ years in strategic solutioning, technical advisory or delivery leadership for enterprise cloud or SaaS.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Prior customer-facing delivery experience (consulting, professional services or technical advisory) is required.
• Proven ability to lead complex, ambiguous engagements end-to-end.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time to customer sites.
• Fluency in written and spoken Japanese.

Required skills

• Demonstrated understanding of the Salesforce platform, Agentic AI and Data Cloud.
• Working knowledge of at least one programming language: Python, JavaScript, Java or Apex.
• Experience leading AI/LLM solution design, including agentic AI strategy, conversation design and responsible AI practices.
• Project and programme management skills; experience in regulated industries, change management or AI/ML beyond LLMs is an advantage.
