Director, Technology Account Management

About the role

The Technology Account Management Director will lead the deployment of Mastercard products and services in Japan, managing both operational and technical relationships with key customers. This senior position drives strategic delivery initiatives, ensures differentiated customer experiences, and acts as a strategic consultant to grow market share.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and conduct Quarterly Operational Reviews for key accounts.
• Deliver monthly announcements, workshops, and mandatory trainings.
• Document processes, identify improvement areas, and drive internal workstreams.
• Manage functional and technical relationships for assigned accounts.
• Analyze customer performance, recommend improvements, and engage continuously.
• Participate in strategic planning and serve as the functional escalation point.
• Lead incident resolution, act as the main liaison between customers and internal teams, and manage post‑incident reviews.
• Execute training, product implementations, and releases.
• Recommend and implement business or process improvements with a global perspective.
• Identify customer business needs and act as a solution consultant.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience in technology account management.
• Proven ability to act as a strategic consultant across product and service launches.
• Strong functional and technical relationship‑management skills.
• Experience leading strategic delivery initiatives and managing escalations.
