Electrical Engineer IV – Supplier & Power Systems

About the role

Applied Materials seeks an Electrical Engineer IV to lead supplier technical audits, drive quality improvements, and support power and RF product development for semiconductor equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluates technical requirements of new and existing electrical and RF process and support power products.
• Works with New Product Development teams to ensure engineering drawing requirements are clear and communicated to suppliers.
• Participates in New Product Introduction teams to involve suppliers in specification development for manufacturability.
• Leads supplier selection, technical audits, performance evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Leads supplier quality problem resolution, root‑cause analysis, and systemic corrective actions.
• Assists in cost planning by monitoring key cost drivers and supply markets.

Required profile

• Demonstrates depth or breadth of expertise in semiconductor equipment power and electrical systems.
• Interprets business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
• Leads functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and complexity.
