Embedded Software Engineer – Vehicle OS

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to develop and integrate advanced software for production vehicles. You will work closely with automotive customers to bring their applications onto the company’s Vehicle OS platform, supporting a range of vehicle domains and test environments.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with customers to integrate and port software features into the Vehicle OS using C and C++.
• Develop embedded vehicle platform code in C, C++ and Simulink based on customer requirements.
• Manage integration timelines, coordinate testing across multiple time zones (Japan and the US), and ensure milestones are met.
• Define and execute vehicle integration and testing strategies for SIL, HIL, and on‑vehicle setups.
• Influence technical direction by balancing new feature development, scaling concerns, and technical debt.

Required profile

• Strong background in embedded software development for automotive or similar safety‑critical domains.
• Experience working with customers or cross‑functional teams to deliver complex software solutions.
• Ability to manage project schedules and communicate progress across distributed teams.
