FEP Customer Engineer I Senior

About the role

Join Applied Materials in Hiroshima as a FEP Customer Engineer I Senior, supporting the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of advanced semiconductor and display equipment for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Senior Field Service Engineers to install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment.
• Use digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Coordinate directly with customers and fulfill additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport for travel.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Digital analytics for troubleshooting.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and use of hand tools, including digital multimeters.
