Financial Controller, Logistics Operations (Site Controller)

About the role

Maersk is looking for a Financial Controller for its logistics operations site. The role partners with Site Managers and business leaders to improve operational and financial performance, offering exposure to end-to-end logistics operations such as customer implementations, revenue assurance, operational controls and business transformation. It sits in a collaborative, international environment with strong career growth opportunities across Finance and Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Site Managers and operational stakeholders to drive site profitability, financial accuracy and business performance
• Monitor and analyse revenue, costs, accruals and profitability, identifying risks and improvement opportunities
• Support month-end close through review of operational accruals, financial trends and performance metrics
• Ensure compliance with customer contracts, billing processes, internal controls and governance requirements
• Drive operational finance KPIs and health metrics through root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Support new customer implementations, process improvements and business transformation initiatives
• Act as the key link between Operations, Commercial and Financial Business Partner teams

Required profile

• Business-level Japanese and English
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or Accounting preferred
• Strong and progressive work experience in accounting, finance controlling or business finance and performance management
• Experience in logistics, warehousing, supply chain, manufacturing or service industries is an advantage
• CPA/CA or knowledge of JGAAP/IFRS is an advantage
• Proactive, self-driven, able to work under pressure and manage ambiguity, with strong stakeholder management and communication skills
