International Affiliate (Clinical Provider) – Japan

About the role

Lyra Clinical Associates is seeking an International Affiliate to manage a flexible, contractual clinical caseload for corporate employees and their families across Japan. You will deliver short‑term, goal‑oriented counseling while enjoying autonomy over your schedule and practice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality short‑term counseling (1‑8 sessions) to corporate employees and their families dealing with stress, burnout, grief, relationship challenges, or mild‑to‑moderate anxiety and depression.
• Utilize evidence‑based modalities such as Cognitive‑Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution‑Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) within an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) context.
• Manage scheduling, case notes, and ensure global data‑privacy compliance using Lyra’s secure digital platform.

Required profile

• Minimum Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology or Clinical Social Work.
• At least 3 years post‑qualification clinical experience.
• Registered with the local governing body as a psychologist, counsellor or clinical social worker.
• Proven experience in short‑term therapy or employee assistance programs.
• Secure high‑speed internet for telehealth and an office space for in‑person sessions in Aizuwakamatsu, Osaka or Miho.

Required skills

• Evidence‑based therapeutic techniques (CBT, SFBT, ACT).
• Proficiency with secure digital platforms for scheduling and documentation.
