Internship - Inspection Service Engineering

About the role

Syntegon Technology K.K., part of the Syntegon Group, provides services to the Japanese pharmaceutical and food markets, including sales of machines, packaging materials, validation and comprehensive services. Its plant is in Saitama, about 50 minutes by train from Tokyo. As an Inspection Equipment Support Intern, you will work with engineers to build essential troubleshooting skills for customer-related inspection equipment issues, and help process customer machine modifications and spare parts requests with the service department. Training covers machine software, electrical and mechanical systems and effective communication.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in diagnosing and resolving inspection equipment problems.
• Communicate with customers in Europe, the Americas, Asia and other regions.
• Collaborate with Syntegon employees worldwide.
• Review problem reports, determine required actions, request information and follow up until resolution.
• Process customer modification and spare parts requests.

Required profile

• English level B2 or higher; Japanese optional.
• Currently studying a degree in computer science, business informatics or a similar field.
• Technically inclined, interested in inspection machine technology and willing to work in Japan.
• Must be enrolled full-time at a university or postgraduate school for the whole internship (6-12 months).

Required skills

• Basic programming skills in any language (desirable)
• Previous project experience (desirable)
• Teamwork, good communication and independent, analytical, structured work style
