LCL Operations Agent - Japan

About the role

Maersk is looking for an LCL Operations Agent in Japan. The role handles and manages export and import shipping documents, vendor invoices and system data, and works closely with the LCL GSC, customer experience, overseas agents and other teams.

Key responsibilities

• Import: check pre-alerts, instruct cargo trucking, give instructions to the GSC for arrival notices, and send documentation to customers
• Export: receive bookings from customers, update booking sheets, arrange trucking and customs clearance, request CFS receipt slips, create dock receipts and shipping instructions, and upload them to a shared folder
• Send customs permits to the relevant parties
• General: correct missing or wrong data, review system data, review vendor invoices and internal billing details, attend customer inquiries and business meetings, and communicate by email with overseas Maersk offices

Required profile

• Experience in operational efficiency and customer service
• Business English
• Computer application knowledge, such as Excel, Word and Teams
• Knowledge of the Cargowise system is preferred
• Positive mindset, willingness to learn, respect for colleagues and a proactive, customer-centred approach
