Legal Specialist - Physical AI National Project

About the role

The Artificial Intelligence Robotics Association (AIRoA), a newly founded organization managing a 20-billion-yen national project funded by NEDO, is hiring a Legal Specialist. Legal here works alongside the business rather than just auditing it, helping partners from major manufacturers to startups and research institutions solve complex issues in joint R&D, IP and data. The organization is still building its legal framework, so the role has considerable discretion.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and review NDAs, service agreements, joint research and development contracts and other agreements with member companies, research institutions and subcontractors
• Prepare and maintain internal regulations and guidelines
• Clarify legal issues around IP and data use and help build consensus internally and externally
• Review and check the legal compliance of contracts and reports submitted to public agencies such as NEDO
• Support the Board of Directors and committees, and set up corporate governance for a general incorporated association
