People Business Partner

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking an experienced People Business Partner to shape and scale its people strategy in Tokyo. The role will act as a trusted advisor to leadership, driving cultural impact and operational excellence across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive People functions for assigned client groups, including manager enablement, workforce planning, change management, and analytics.
• Develop and implement people programs such as performance management, compensation, succession planning, and employee relations.
• Identify development needs through evaluations and touchpoints, partnering with managers to improve performance, engagement, and retention.
• Provide guidance on total rewards, leveling, employee engagement, culture development, organizational design, and communications.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle for performance, development, and advancement.
• Support ad‑hoc People or general operations initiatives as required.

Required profile

• 8+ years of HR Business Partner experience in a high‑growth technology environment.
• Strong strategic thinking with high IQ and EQ.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive cultural change.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and analytical skills.

Required skills

• Experience with talent management, performance management, compensation, and succession planning.
• Knowledge of workforce planning, change management, and people analytics.
• Ability to handle employee relations matters, including investigations and terminations.
