Senior Manager, Core Capabilities HUB Japan

About the role

The Senior Manager, Core Capabilities HUB Japan leads the implementation of the CPA HUB model for Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine in Japan. Reporting to the Senior Director, Japan Communications & Public Affairs, the role ensures strategic consistency, operational excellence and measurable impact across the market.

Key responsibilities

• Translate global HUB vision into local operating models, governance and delivery plans, driving adoption of core capabilities.
• Steward core CPA capabilities in Japan – digital/social platforms, media and issues management, analytics, internal communications enablement, executive communications support, and brand governance.
• Partner with therapeutic‑area communications leads to align HUB resources with business priorities, supporting launches, data readouts and congresses.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise governance, risk management and operational standards, driving scalability and efficiency.

Required profile

• 8‑12 years of communications or public affairs experience in complex, matrixed organisations.
• Deep understanding of the Japanese biopharmaceutical environment, including commercialization, policy and stakeholder dynamics.
• Proven ability to translate global strategy into disciplined local execution and to influence senior leaders.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Communications, Journalism, Business or related field preferred.
