Senior Manager, Haematology Communication & Public Affairs

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Manager to lead haematology communications and public affairs in Japan. The role will translate global strategies into locally relevant activations, supporting product launches and growth initiatives across the haematology portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Japan communications and public affairs activations for the entire haematology portfolio, contributing to the Japan Haematology Leadership Team.
• Translate complex scientific data into clear messaging across earned, owned, and paid channels, and adapt global narratives for local impact.
• Provide day‑to‑day communications counsel, align strategies with policy and access considerations, and collaborate with global and regional teams.
• Monitor media, stakeholder and competitive landscapes, and contribute to measurement and continuous improvement of communications impact.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required (advanced degree a plus) with a minimum of 8 + years experience in communications, public affairs or related fields in Japan.
• Proven track record supporting global or regional communications strategies, including product or portfolio communications.
• Strong ability to work in a matrixed, global environment and influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Excellent English and Japanese writing, editing and storytelling skills, with experience translating scientific content.
• Strong organizational, analytical and project‑management abilities to manage multiple priorities.
