Senior Solutions Consultant

About the role

Appian is looking for a Senior Solutions Consultant to drive the technology evaluation stage of enterprise sales and act as the primary technical advisor for its AI‑Powered Process Automation platform. This remote position in Japan partners with Account Executives to design and deliver custom Proof of Concepts that address complex business challenges for Fortune 500 customers.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to define regional sales goals and shape technical strategy for high‑value accounts.
• Lead the scoping, design, and delivery of custom Proof of Concepts (POCs) and Proof of Values (POVs) for prospective enterprise customers.
• Present technical and business architectures to C‑level executives, positioning Appian’s Enterprise‑Grade Orchestration capabilities.
• Develop technical responses for RFPs, RFIs, and detailed proposals, handling complex objections.
• Collaborate with Product Management to convey customer requirements and influence the product roadmap.
• Contribute reusable assets such as architectural blueprints and mentor associate Solutions Consultants.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related technical or business field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Consultant, Pre‑Sales Engineer, Solution Architect, Technical Consultant, Enterprise Architect, or similar client‑facing role.
• Willingness to travel 30‑70% to customer sites and field events.
