About the role
Invesco is seeking a senior leader to represent its global equities platform in Japan. The role will drive client engagement across institutional and intermediary channels, shaping the firm’s equity strategy and growth in the region.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the senior representative of Invesco’s global equities platform in Japan for both institutional and intermediary clients.
- Lead client engagement in partnership with sales teams, covering banks, insurance companies, asset managers, pension funds, distributors and other intermediaries.
- Drive strategic marketing and capital formation initiatives across a wide range of global equity strategies.
- Provide thought leadership on equity markets, including portfolio positioning, macro/sector developments and benchmark‑relative performance.
- Deliver high‑impact communications tailored to institutional and retail/intermediary client segments.
- Support retail distribution with product training, marketing materials and investment insights.
- Influence product strategy by incorporating feedback from diverse client segments and market dynamics.
- Act as a bridge between clients, distribution partners and global investment teams to ensure alignment.
Required profile
- Demonstrated senior‑level leadership and ability to influence internal stakeholders across institutional and retail channels.
- Proven experience managing relationships with institutional investors and distributors/intermediaries.
- Deep knowledge of global equity markets, including active/passive strategies, factor investing, ESG integration and benchmark‑driven mandates.
- Solid understanding of both institutional and retail distribution models in Japan.
- Native‑level Japanese and business‑level English (verbal and written).
- Advanced presentation capabilities and experience delivering training or client seminars.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen, including performance attribution, portfolio construction and risk analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher; CFA strongly preferred, CMA or related qualifications a plus.
