Director, Finance Business Partner

About the role

The Finance Business Partner for Japan will act as a strategic advisor to the divisional president and senior management, guiding financial decisions that drive growth and operational excellence. This senior position combines financial stewardship with leadership to ensure sound investment and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Financial control and reporting for the division.
• Support strategy development and implementation.
• Lead financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Conduct business development, investment review, analysis, implementation, and integration.
• Oversee pricing review and implementation.
• Manage risk and support tax compliance.
• Perform ad‑hoc financial analysis as needed.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in business, accounting or a related discipline.
• Broad understanding of all finance areas and strong analytical techniques.
• Results‑oriented, performance driven, with a focus on excellence.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and business acumen.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing, and relationship‑building skills.
• Experience leading and motivating a small team and working in cross‑functional environments.
• Significant financial experience; qualified CPA, Chartered Accountant or equivalent.
• Fluent English.
