Long-Term Valuation Manager

About the role

The Long-Term Valuation Manager will lead actuarial reserving and financial reporting for long‑term insurance products and manage the valuation team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the long‑term actuarial reserving process, including IFRS 17 BBA and Japanese statutory frameworks, and support Swiss solvency reporting.
• Provide governance for reserving, review results, and establish assumptions for mortality, morbidity and lapse rates.
• Manage the long‑term valuation team (7‑9 members), delivering forecasts and business insights to support strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• Qualified actuary (or near qualification) with membership in a recognized actuarial institute.
• Minimum 8 years of actuarial experience in insurance, preferably in life or long‑term valuation.
• Demonstrated experience managing a team of actuaries.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English; Japanese is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with actuarial software.
• Experience using SAS for data analysis.
• Experience with Prophet modeling tool.
• Familiarity with Databricks platform.
