Corporate Internal Auditor, Specialist

About the role

Our Corporate Audit and Assurance Services (MCAAS) team seeks a Specialist to support financial, operational, SOX 404, IT and integrated audits across Japan and the broader Asia‑Pacific region. The role involves executing audit programs, preparing workpapers, and delivering clear audit reports while upholding the highest standards of independence and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in planning and execution of financial, operational, SOX 404, IT and integrated audits both domestically and internationally.
• Develop and perform audit programs, walkthroughs, sample testing and document findings in accordance with quality standards and timelines.
• Collaborate with audit teams to draft audit summaries, issue reports and recommend remediation actions.
• Contribute to department projects and ensure delivery of agreed‑upon results.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum 2 years of internal audit or public accounting experience.
• Professional proficiency in English and business‑level Japanese.
• Willingness to travel up to 25 % internationally for audit engagements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using data‑analysis and AI tools for audit testing.
• Knowledge of PCAOB standards and audit reporting.
• Ability to perform financial analysis and project risk assessments.
