About the role
The Scientist will support design and execution of statistical studies for Clinical Development and Medical Affairs programs within Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicines in Japan. The role works closely with Quantitative Sciences, Clinical Pharmacology and other drug development teams.
Key responsibilities
- Provide statistical analysis, interpretation, and reporting for research, development, and marketed product programs.
- Assist with experimental design, modeling, sample size calculations, and scenario simulations.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to optimize study designs, troubleshoot program issues, and support regulatory decision‑making.
- Contribute to process improvement, standards development, and internal partnership building.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Statistics or a related field.
- Proficiency in SAS and R programming, with experience in Python, EAST, SOLARA, or FACTS considered a plus.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in both Japanese and English.
- Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams and adapt to evolving project needs.
