Technical Account Manager Architect (Japan)

About the role

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) Architect joins ClickHouse’s Support Services team, reporting to regional Support Engineering Managers. The role blends consultative support, project guidance, and L3 escalation handling for strategic enterprise customers, with up to 35% onsite travel in Tokyo.

Key responsibilities

• Provide architectural, technical, and migration guidance for strategic and enterprise ClickHouse users.
• Lead projects, escalations, and meetings to ensure customer success and smooth production launches.
• Own and oversee L3 support cases, coordinating closely with L1/L2 support teams.
• Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to shape roadmap and account plans.
• Assist in hiring, mentoring new team members, and developing documentation, knowledge‑base articles, and reference architectures.

Required profile

• 5+ years in Technical Account Management, Professional Services, Senior Support, or Project Management.
• Strong experience with scalable, fault‑tolerant distributed database systems.
• Proven ability to lead large‑scope technical projects across multiple engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑facing mindset.
