Account Executive – Japan (B2B SaaS)

About the role

Speak is building an AI‑powered language tutoring platform and is expanding its enterprise arm, Speak for Business, in Japan. As an Account Executive you will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing complex enterprise deals, and help shape the company’s B2B growth engine.

Key responsibilities

• Build and execute a territory plan, managing a pipeline of enterprise accounts to consistently exceed quota.
• Conduct disciplined discovery and value‑selling with executive buyers to generate new ARR and expansion revenue.
• Develop multi‑threaded account plans that align with company priorities and uncover expansion opportunities.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with CSMs, SDRs, Marketing, and Product to position Speak and advance deals.
• Strengthen executive relationships through in‑person meetings and networking.
• Monitor market signals, adapt sales strategy, and contribute to the evolution of the sales motion.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience closing new and upsell business in HR, L&D, or related B2B SaaS, preferably with enterprises of 5,000+ employees.
• Proven ability to generate your own pipeline and achieve net‑new targets.
• Experience managing complex 3–12 month sales cycles end‑to‑end, including outbound outreach, trials, business cases, proposals, and negotiations.
• Strong sales methodology focused on creating customer value.
• Fluent in business English for daily collaboration with Speak’s global team.
