AI Anime Researcher

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced AI Researcher to join our team and help us push the boundaries of AI and anime. You’ll design and develop large‑scale diffusion models focused on images and other modalities such as 3D, text, video and audio.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop large‑scale diffusion models for images and other modalities (3D, text, video, audio).
• Work closely with the internal studio to develop game‑ready models and deploy regular quality updates to niji·journey.
• Experiment with and design massive models, moving innovations from the lab to production quickly.
• Collaborate within a small, fast‑paced AI team of four, alongside top AI researchers.

Required profile

• Passion for anime and its aesthetic.
• Strong understanding of diffusion models or ability to learn quickly.
• Research experience with a willingness to experiment on large models.
• Ability to thrive in a small, fast‑paced team and work on‑site.

Required skills

• Proficiency in PyTorch.
• Experience with JAX (preferred).
• Experience with large‑scale TPU training.
• Knowledge of diffusion model techniques.
