AIX Field Service Engineer III

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an AIX Field Service Engineer III to act as the main point of contact for digital tools at customer sites. The role focuses on improving digital tool performance, supporting complex problem solving, and ensuring seamless communication between sites and headquarters. You will work with cutting‑edge semiconductor and display equipment across multiple locations in Japan.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and drive improvements for digital tools used on customer sites.
• Serve as the primary contact for all digital‑tool issues at the site and with headquarters.
• Support complex problem solving using data analytics and share findings with management.
• Configure dashboards, propagate models, and provide feedback to package owners.
• Mentor teammates on troubleshooting methodologies and tool processes.

Required profile

• Understands key business drivers and applies this knowledge to daily work.
• Provides informal guidance to new team members and builds consensus with customers and management.
• Demonstrates expanded conceptual knowledge in the discipline and broadens capabilities.
• Uses Applied Problem Solving Technique for issue resolution.
