Communications & Public Affairs Lead – Fixed Term

About the role

This one‑year fixed‑term position leads the communication and public affairs strategy for the Immunology, PAH and Neuroscience (IPN) Business Unit of Janssen Japan. Reporting to the Senior Director of Communication & Public Affairs, the role supports the Vice President, IPN, and sits on the IPN Business Unit Leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute innovative communication strategies to raise disease‑area awareness and improve patient access to medicines.
• Lead creative campaigns, manage media relations, and build the long‑term reputation of the company in the IPN space.
• Partner with external agencies, patient groups, influencers and internal CPA professionals to deliver coordinated messaging.
• Define performance metrics, oversee budgets, ensure compliance, and drive employee engagement initiatives.
• Provide strategic counsel on change‑management, crisis communication, and stakeholder engagement to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 8‑10 years of experience in business‑aligned communications, preferably in healthcare or policy environments.
• Flawless written and verbal Japanese skills; strong English communication abilities.
