Construction Controls Manager

About the role

The Construction Controls Manager will lead financial construction controls for Micron’s regional construction portfolio in Japan and North Asia. You will partner with finance and construction teams to ensure projects stay on budget, on schedule, and meet cash‑flow objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between Finance and construction teams, facilitating cross‑functional collaboration.
• Attend project meetings to capture real‑time progress, risks, and opportunities.
• Generate and maintain dashboards on construction cost, schedule, cash‑flow and risk, ensuring accurate reporting of actuals and forecasts.
• Partner with construction teams to develop baseline budgets, validate estimates and improve forecast accuracy.
• Collect and maintain historical cost, schedule and scope data to support benchmarking and continuous improvement.
• Improve capital allocation processes, including approvals and change management, and develop budget walks and lessons‑learned.
• Leverage construction and capital finance tools such as Procore, SAP and Snowflake to enhance reporting and controls.
• Ensure compliance with Micron construction processes across jurisdictions and contribute to project control improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Proven experience in project controls, quantity surveying or financial management for construction projects.
• Strong background in capital project controls, cost control, earned value analysis and risk management.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze budgets, forecast cash‑flow and communicate variances to senior stakeholders.
