Customer Engineer II – Field Service

About the role

As a Customer Engineer II at Applied Materials, you will act as the primary liaison with customers, installing, maintaining and upgrading advanced semiconductor and display equipment. You will use digital analytics and basic diagnostic techniques to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers to install, maintain and upgrade customer equipment.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic and gas systems.
• Use digital analytics for troubleshooting and communicate directly with customers to ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience or trade certification.
• 1–2 years of customer/field service support or related technical experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport for travel.

Required skills

• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Basic mechanical aptitude with pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum or thermodynamics.
• Proficiency with hand tools and digital multimeters.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
