Deployment Strategist - Crypto Investigations

About the role

Chainalysis is looking for a Deployment Strategist to join its Global Services team in Tokyo. You will act as an embedded technical expert, guiding customers through the full lifecycle of blockchain investigations, from discovery to solution enablement.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end customer engagements, including discovery, investigation, solution design, deployment, and ongoing value delivery.
• Conduct blockchain investigations using Chainalysis tools, applying tracing, OSINT, and analytical techniques to real‑world problems.
• Design, build, and maintain custom notebooks, dashboards, queries, and data models tailored to each customer’s workflow.
• Enable customer teams to operate solutions independently through hands‑on training, walkthroughs, and knowledge transfer.
• Support pre‑sales technical engagements for complex deals and provide feedback to product and engineering teams.

Required profile

• Experience conducting cryptocurrency investigations, blockchain intelligence work, or financial‑crime analysis in an operational environment.
• Background working directly with law‑enforcement, national security, intelligence, compliance, or security‑focused customers.
• Proven ability to translate large, complex data sets into actionable insights for both technical and executive audiences.
• Comfort operating in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments with strong ownership and judgment.
