Finance Director – FP&A

About the role

The FP&A Finance Director is a key member of the Japan Innovative Medicine Leadership Team, acting as a strategic advisor to commercial and functional leaders. This senior role drives financial planning, performance management, and investment prioritisation across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting and scenario analysis for the full P&L and Balance Sheet, delivering regular performance reviews and variance insights to senior leadership.
• Partner with the President, CFO and business units to support strategic decisions, resource allocation, risk management and cross‑functional execution.
• Ensure compliance with J&J worldwide procedures, local regulations and support internal audits.
• Attract, develop and retain finance talent, fostering a collaborative finance organisation that includes GS, Tax and Treasury.

Required profile

• MBA or relevant finance degree with 10‑15 years of finance, strategy or corporate finance experience.
• Proven analytical rigor, problem‑solving ability and experience resolving complex business problems with structured analytics.
• Strong project‑management skills and ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives in a dynamic environment.
• Experience in a global or multinational business is strongly preferred.
