General Manager – Japanese Market

About the role

We are looking for an exceptional, entrepreneurial General Manager to lead and scale our presence in the Japanese market. This high‑impact leadership role sits at the intersection of business development, operations and strategy, owning the market end‑to‑end from partnership origination to execution.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the growth strategy for the market by identifying high‑value opportunities and translating them into scalable partnerships.
• Originate and lead strategic conversations with local entertainment industry leaders to structure long‑term value‑creating partnerships.
• Act as the public face of Fever, building trust‑based client leadership and positioning the company as a strategic collaborator.
• Oversee the market P&L and manage the full lifecycle of each project to ensure operational excellence and high‑quality delivery.
• Hire, develop and lead a high‑performing local team, fostering an ownership mindset and a culture of accountability.
• Drive performance through rigorous prioritization and data‑driven decision making to continuously optimise local operations.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in a top‑tier management consulting firm combined with general management or high‑growth environment experience.
• Proven “Closer” mentality with a track record in business development and networking with senior decision‑makers.
• Ownership mindset, taking full responsibility for flawless execution beyond contract signing.
• Exceptional networking ability to quickly build rapport with corporate executives and creative partners.
• Extensive leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams in fast‑paced, high‑pressure settings.
• Data‑driven and analytical, using insights to optimise operations and track market performance.
• Fluency in Japanese and English.
• Strong academic background; MBA is a plus.
