HR Business Partner - Shared Services

About the role

Cygnify is recruiting an HR Business Partner for its Shared Services business unit, based in Tokyo. The role reports to the HCM leader and works cross-functionally with department leaders across global offices. It combines strategic work with hands-on support, such as helping a practice leader with a hiring plan, coaching a new manager through a performance conversation and advising on people strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to turn business priorities, including AI adoption and market expansion, into workforce and organizational strategies.
• Act as an embedded HR voice on leadership projects, giving structure, capability and talent recommendations.
• Research trends and markets, and benchmark performance against peers and aspirational goals.
• Lead full-cycle recruitment for senior and niche roles across global locations.
• Run performance management programs and coach managers to become stronger leaders.
• Drive succession planning and capability development, and make company values tangible in daily work.
• Elevate HCM processes and tools so they are actively used, and use HR metrics and workforce analytics to give data-driven recommendations.
• Support compensation, including salary planning, promotions and job re-leveling.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of HR experience, with demonstrated HR Business Partnership experience.
• Proven ability to engage senior leadership and turn business strategy into workforce plans.
• Strong influence skills and a track record of coaching managers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Comfortable in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment with many concurrent priorities.
