About the role
We are looking for a motivated intern to join BGA’s Japan team in Tokyo, supporting research and analysis on politics, economics, regulatory policy and business intelligence across the Indo‑Pacific region.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct in‑depth research and provide analysis on political, economic and regulatory developments that affect our clients’ strategic decisions.
- Prepare and edit a variety of client‑facing materials, including briefings, profiles, presentations, memos, research papers and event handbooks.
- Develop and maintain country‑specific news updates and continuously monitor sector‑specific news items for timely client updates.
- Assist with data entry, database maintenance and other administrative tasks to ensure smooth team operations.
Required profile
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, able to work both independently and collaboratively in small teams.
- Native‑level Japanese proficiency combined with fluent English reading and writing skills.
- Strong research, analysis, writing and editing abilities; familiarity with the AP Stylebook is a plus.
- Current work authorization for Japan.
