Machine Learning Engineer – EdgeCortix SAKURA AI Chip Team

About the role

This position is part of EdgeCortix’s SAKURA AI Chip team. You will work at the intersection of hardware and AI, accelerating the deployment of state‑of‑the‑art neural networks on our proprietary edge AI platform. The role involves close collaboration with compiler and hardware engineers as well as customer‑facing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with compiler and hardware engineers to bring cutting‑edge neural networks onto EdgeCortix hardware and software stack.
• Guide customers in deploying custom and off‑the‑shelf models to meet accuracy and performance targets.
• Maintain and expand a library of ready‑to‑use perception models.
• Continuously improve the stability and user experience of the software stack.
• Implement, train, quantize, prune and deploy models using PyTorch and TensorFlow, and conduct accuracy studies.

Required profile

• Experience writing Python code and using TensorFlow and PyTorch frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of deep neural networks, training procedures and accuracy evaluation.
• Strong debugging and analysis skills for complex issues.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows (GitHub/GitLab).
• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field (preferred).
