Manager of Program Management - Health Care Compliance (MedTech)

About the role

The Japan Compliance Manager of Program Management is a core member of the Japan HCC team, reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Program Management. The role implements HCC compliance programs in line with business needs and compliance standards in Japan, improves the efficiency and effectiveness of those programs, supports change management, and works with the Region Program team and the Japan HCC Business Partnering team to mitigate compliance risk.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with HCC team members across groups in MT Japan, including Vision and Heart Recovery Business, to scope, design, initiate and implement operational projects.
• Lead and execute the compliance program operations of MT Japan, including Vision and Heart Recovery Business, and help the HCCO and Senior Manager develop a project portfolio management structure.
• Share best practices to develop consistent controls in Japan and support harmonized standard processes.
• Represent MT Japan HCC on project teams to harmonize, standardize and streamline HCC processes and systems.
• Seek new solutions through internal and external networks; other duties may be assigned by the Senior Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of business, legal and/or compliance-related experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in pharmaceutical and/or medical device industries preferred; cross-functional and cross-sector experience preferred.
• Fluent Japanese and English (reading, writing, verbal).

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of HCC programs and anti-corruption laws and regulations.
• Experience leading projects in compliance areas such as HCC, FCPA, finance, quality or regulatory.
• Ability to manage multiple critical projects at once and to influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Japanese laws, regulations and industry standards, and of the FCPA.
