Partnerships Manager – Japan (Performance Marketing & Merchant Partnerships)

About the role

Pulse iD is looking for a senior Partnerships Manager to build and scale its merchant and strategic partner ecosystem in Japan. You will drive commercial growth through performance‑marketing solutions and payment‑ecosystem integrations, acting as the primary commercial representative in the market.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end development of Pulse iD’s merchant and partner network in Japan, from prospecting to signed contracts.
• Identify, prioritize and negotiate high‑value partnerships with merchants, acquirers, payment gateways, PSPs, wallets and performance‑marketing platforms.
• Lead the commercialization of card‑linked offers and performance‑marketing capabilities, delivering measurable ROI and revenue outcomes.
• Manage senior relationships with key merchants, driving pipeline conversion, upsell opportunities and long‑term retention.
• Track and report on pipeline health, partnership progress, campaign performance and revenue contribution.
• Provide market feedback and commercial insight to leadership, shaping strategy and prioritising actions.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of experience in partnerships, business development or account management, preferably in performance‑marketing or payments.
• Fluent Japanese (reading, writing, speaking) and professional English.
• Strong understanding of the Japanese payments, merchant and marketing ecosystem; an existing network is a plus.
