People Partner – Japan, APAC & Global

About the role

We are seeking an experienced People Partner to support our teams in Japan, the broader APAC region and globally. Based in Tokyo, this role operates on an office‑centric hybrid schedule, collaborating closely with leadership to design and execute people strategies that drive business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Build and implement department‑level talent strategies that align with business goals.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to functional leads across Japan, APAC and global teams, handling complex people situations.
• Partner with senior leaders to design and lead scalable change initiatives.
• Identify root causes in ambiguous situations and communicate pragmatic solutions to senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with International People Partner Leader and Centers of Excellence to deliver core programs such as onboarding, performance management, learning and development, and employee engagement.
• Interpret people data to spot trends, translate insights into actions and promote a data‑driven culture.
• Represent the people perspective in headcount and strategic planning forums.

Required profile

• 6–8 years of HR experience as a strategic Business Partner or Organizational Consultant.
• Deep knowledge of Japanese employee and labor relations and broader APAC HR practices.
• Fluent in Japanese and English for effective regional and global communication.
• Proven ability to lead large‑scale organizational change and manage complex, cross‑functional projects.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to inform decisions and mitigate bias.
• Comfortable influencing senior leaders and communicating complex information clearly.
