Senior Director, Marketing

About the role

Braze is seeking a senior marketing leader to shape and execute its regional marketing strategy in Japan. Reporting to the VP of APAC Demand Generation, the role will design and run programs that drive new‑business acquisition and expand Braze’s footprint across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Japan regional marketing strategy and ensure execution aligns with revenue targets.
• Partner with Sales, Partnerships, Success and Global Marketing teams to build scalable, predictable programs.
• Act as the voice of the region, translating local nuances into feedback loops for continuous improvement.
• Create repeatable demand‑generation campaigns—from concept to optimization—across online and offline channels.
• Serve as a thought leader for the brand, hosting activations and co‑leading custom programs with local leadership.
• Own demand‑generation metrics, forecasting, measurement and analysis of marketing impact.
• Travel within the region to engage customers, prospects and partners, supporting lead generation and pipeline development.

Required profile

• 15+ years of marketing experience, preferably in B2B SaaS.
• Proven track record of regional pipeline generation and collaboration with Sales, Partnerships and Customer Success.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building long‑term relationships.
• Self‑starter who can work independently and manage multiple demanding tasks with accuracy.
• Experience in high‑growth, high‑intensity environments and willingness to travel.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
