Senior Security Analyst

About the role

Appian is looking for a Senior Security Analyst to join its Information Security Trust team in Tokyo. You will help shape and maintain a robust governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) program that protects the enterprise and its products.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation and evolution of the GRC program across the organization.
• Define and enforce security policies and standards aligned with industry frameworks.
• Educate and ensure all business units adhere to security requirements.
• Assess the risk posture of systems and environments.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement control requirements.
• Oversee external control assessments and continuously monitor control health.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving ability and constructive dissent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Japanese.
• Ability to manage multiple work streams, meet aggressive deadlines, and execute on roadmaps.

• Security frameworks: ISMAP, IRAP, ISO 27001.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Cloud‑native technologies: Kubernetes, Docker, serverless.
• Operating systems: Windows, UNIX, Linux.
• Cryptography concepts.
• Relevant certifications: CISSP, CISA, CISM.
