Sr. Solutions Architect, Security

About the role

Rimini Street, a global provider of enterprise software support, managed services and Agentic AI ERP solutions for Oracle, SAP and VMware, is seeking a Sr. Solutions Architect, Security. The role reports directly to the Regional Manager, Product Services, NAMER & APAC and supports the development and expansion of security services for ERP implementations (such as SAP and Oracle EBS) for clients. Qualified candidates can work remotely, with a preferred location near Tokyo.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and maintain security solutions, and research threats, vulnerabilities and weaknesses affecting Rimini Street's products and services.
• Collaborate with the team to assess weaknesses and exposures, agree on mitigations and document them.
• Oversee implementation and validation of security solutions against deployment project plans, and provide post-implementation support with Global teams.
• Partner with the Security Products R&D team on efficacy testing, implementation strategy and planning, and prepare documentation for installation, configuration, troubleshooting and optimization.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot security products, and use repeatable project plans and best practices for onboarding projects.
• Research security vulnerabilities, review and improve security practices, and develop rules, signatures and hardening configurations.
• Stay current on emerging threats and controls, give feedback to security vendors, and conduct security assessments for customers and prospects across ERP and complex WebLogic/WebSphere environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of relevant experience with IT procedures and security policies, and 10+ years in data center operations, in-house and outsourced.
• 5+ years in security product implementation and troubleshooting, and 5+ years with WebLogic/WebSphere, including high availability and clusters.
• Security certification required (e.g., CISA, CEH, CISSP, CRISC) or actively working toward one.
• Proficient Japanese and understanding of Japanese culture; remote work, preferred location near Tokyo.

Required skills

• Knowledge of securing network, application server and database tiers.
• Installation and configuration of security software such as McAfee, TrendMicro, Imperva, F5 ASM, Palo Alto or other WAF/NGFW products.
• Deep knowledge of operating systems, SAP technology stacks, and databases such as Oracle and SQL.
• Experience designing and delivering enterprise-level security controls, including penetration testing and remediation.
• Preferred: ERP experience (SAP/EBS/JDE), public cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), and managed services experience meeting SLAs.
