Talent Acquisition Recruiter – Japan

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Talent Acquisition Recruiter for its Japan office in Tokyo. The recruiter will manage end‑to‑end hiring processes, develop sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives, and represent the company at career events.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute recruiting and interviewing plans for open positions.
• Source candidates through various channels including job boards, referrals, vendors, and university partnerships.
• Conduct regular follow‑ups with hiring managers and HR business partners to assess recruiting effectiveness.
• Negotiate salary proposals, manage offer processes in Workday, and maintain candidate pipelines.
• Utilize Workday and CRM systems for reporting, metrics, and process improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in in‑house talent acquisition or recruiting.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Japanese.
• Ability to work independently with moderate guidance.
• Strong consultative and project‑management skills.
